Curfew Extended in Nepal’s Birgunj amid ongoing tension over TikTok video

Parsa (Nepal), Jan 06 (ANI): Authorities in Nepal’s Birgunj city extended the curfew on Tuesday as religious tension continued following a controversial TikTok video that triggered protests and unrest. The District Administration Office (DAO), Parsa, had initially imposed prohibitory orders on Monday afternoon after rival groups staged simultaneous protests, defying restrictions. As the situation escalated, a curfew was enforced from 6 PM Monday to 8 AM Tuesday. With tensions remaining high, the curfew was further extended until evening on Tuesday.
