As Prime Minister Narendra Modi completes 12 years in office, PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi scheme has emerged as a key scheme supporting rural India. Nationwide, over 11 crore farmers have received more than ₹4.27 lakh crore under the scheme, making it one of the world's largest farmer support programmes. In Dashela village in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar, farmers say the scheme has eased financial burdens and strengthened livelihoods. Through Direct Benefit Transfer, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three instalments, helping them meet farming expenses on time.
