Majuli (Assam), June 1, 2025 (ANI): Continuous rainfall over the past several days has caused the water level of the Brahmaputra River to rise sharply, prompting authorities to suspend ferry services between Majuli and Nimati Ghat of Jorhat. The situation turned critical after floodwaters submerged the ramps of both the Kamalabari and Afalamukh ferry terminals, leading to the temporary halting of operations.
