Gujarat’s Sabarmati Ashram enters new chapter with 55-acre redevelopment

Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, the historic site where Mahatma Gandhi developed his principles of truth and non-violence, is entering a new phase of redevelopment. The Gujarat government’s project expands the ashram from 5 to 55 acres, while preserving 36 original structures from the 1930s to maintain Gandhi’s simplicity and legacy.
