Gujarat Police is strengthening its operations with a new generation of highly trained K9 units, known as ‘super dogs,’ designed to tackle terrorism, narcotics, and explosives with precision. Around 200 dogs have been trained using advanced, technology-driven and reward-based methods, making them more efficient in the field. These dogs perform dual roles, including assault and explosive detection, and work closely with commando units in high-risk situations.
