Body recovered after building collapse in Delhi’s Harsh Vihar, rescue operation continues

A body was recovered from the site of a building collapse in Milan Garden, Harsh Vihar, in northeast Delhi, as rescue operations continued. The incident occurred on Sunday evening, October 25, when a slab of an under-construction building collapsed. The structure was an old, single-storey building where an additional floor was being constructed. A resident suggested that a weak existing slab may have given way while a new concrete slab was being laid, but the exact cause has not been officially established. Rescue teams, including the NDRF, Delhi Fire Services and police, were deployed to search the debris.
