                                      Goa [India], July 29: Goa is entering its strongest tourism cycle in nearly a decade, with the first half of 2025 recording a record-breaking 54.55 lakh visitors--51.84 lakh domestic and 2.71 lakh international. The year began with a 10.5 percent jump in arrivals during the first quarter, propelled by expanded Gulf air routes and aggressive global promotions. Demand has shifted decisively from seasonal to year-round travel, with hotel searches up 12 percent and confirmed room nights up 14 percent during the 2024 festive quarter. Over New Year's week, luxury hotel occupancy neared 95 percent, far outpacing the 65-70 percent range seen in mid-scale properties, highlighting a clear consumer tilt toward premium experiences.
