Indigo Fiasco: DGCA issues show-cause notice to Indigo CEO amid flight disruptions

December 07, 2025 (ANI): The Indian civil aviation sector has experienced massive disruptions over the past week with cancellations & delays by IndiGo. Primarily due to sudden shortage of pilots & crew arising from revised Flight Duty Time Limitations norms implemented by DGCA. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has issued a formal show-cause notice to IndiGo’s CEO Pieter Elbers. DGCA held airline accountable for recent large-scale operational disruptions, pointing to lapses in planning, oversight.
