COVID-19: ICMR to conduct trial in 21 hospitals to assess safety of convalescent plasma, says Health Ministry

New Delhi, May 08 (ANI): Reviewing coronavirus situation in the country, the Health Ministry informed that ICMR will conduct trial in 21 hospitals, to assess safety and efficacy of convalescent plasma amid COVID-19. “Project PLACID - Phase-II Open-Label Randomised Controlled Trial of ICMR has received approval of COVID-19 National Ethics Committee. Under this, ICMR will conduct trial in 21 hospitals, to assess safety and efficacy of convalescent plasma,” said Luv Aggarwal.
