Common drug linked to hampering lung cancer treatment

New Delhi, 27 (ANI): According to a new research by the Flinders University, a common medicine that treats reflux, heartburn as well as ulcers can hinder the effectiveness of lung cancer immunotherapy medicines. The findings of this research were published in the 'British Journal of Cancer'. The study investigated the impact of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) on patients undergoing treatment for non-small-cell lung cancer, the most common type of lung cancer, accounting for 85 per cent of cases.
