J-K: Vocational Training Centre helping girls to become financially independent in Shopian

Shopian (J&K), Oct 28 (ANI): Women Empowerment Cell Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Centre is playing an important role in empowering women in the Shopian district of South Kashmir. It has been started by the Indian Army to help the women to find employment and make them self-reliant. Girls and women from the district are being trained in apple jam making, carpet making, Sozni embroidery arts, and driving courses. Local girls lauded the step taken by the Indian Army, as these types of centres are helping them learn the basics of tailoring.
