Pro-Khalistani slogans raised inside Golden Temple in Amritsar on Operation Blue Star Anniversary

Amritsar (Punjab), June 06 (ANI): On the 40th anniversary of Operation Blue Star, members of the Sikh community raised slogans inside the Golden Temple premises in Amritsar. Despite high security near Golden Temple, large number of Khalistani supporters gathered holding posters of Bhindrawala. The posters stated “Never Forget 1984, Sikh Genocide” along with the picture of Bhindrawala.Notably, Operation Blue Star was carried out by the Indian Army in June 1984. It aimed to capture Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and his supporters hiding in the Golden Temple.
