Traction Substation installed in Khurja-Bhaupur Section of Easter Dedicated Freight Corridor

Biruni (Uttar Pradesh) November 25 (ANI): India’s first Traction Substation (TSS) of 2x25 KV system has been installed at Biruni in Khurja-Bhaupur Section of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC). Traction Substation is an electrical substation where power supply from 132 KV/220 KV is converted to 2x 25 KV. This 2x25 KV is fed to Over Head Equipment (OHE) for running the trains.
