“We are ready for negotiation” Iran open to possible future negotiations with US

New Delhi, April 13, 2026 (AN): On failed US-Iran talks, Dr Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, Representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, said, "From the beginning, we were doubtful of these negotiations, because we are sure that the American administration is not serious about it. They wanted to buy time... But we wanted to show the world that we are not people of war... We are the people of the peace..." He also says, "We are not the initiator of this war, they imposed this war on us and we started defending ourselves. We will defend ourselves even for 2, 3 or 5 years, but we are not going to submit ourselves and give away our country and rights to the other side..."
