Jun 9, 2026: ANI: Rajouri, (Jammu and Kashmir): The ongoing anti-terror operation, codenamed Operation Sheruwali, entered its 18th day on Tuesday in the dense forests of Dorimal in the Gambhir Mughlan area of Manjakote sector, Rajouri district, making it one of the longest-running security operations in the region in recent years. Security forces remain on high alert and continue extensive search and cordon operations in the area to track down suspected terrorists believed to be hiding in the forest belt. The operation is being carried out in the challenging terrain of the Dorimal forests, which are known for their dense vegetation, steep slopes, rocky hills, and rugged mountainous landscape. The difficult topography continues to pose significant challenges for the security forces engaged in the operation. Despite the harsh conditions, troops are maintaining a strong presence in the area, with searches continuing across the vast forest stretches of Gambhir Mughlan.
