UK-India Free Trade Agreement: Piyush Goyal assures to conclude negotiations by year-end

New Delhi, Jan 13 (ANI): Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and UK Secretary of State for International Trade, President of The Board of Trade Anne-Marie Trevelyan on January 13 formally launched ‘Free Trade Agreement’ between the two nations in Delhi. While addressing the launch event Piyush Goyal assured that both the nations are “committed to concluding the UK-India Free Trade Agreement negotiations in about a year’s time.” On being asked if India has commanded moderation in UK visa restraints for free trade agreement, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Goyal said that, “Both sides have agreed that sensitive issues are not our priority. From both sides, there is no demand that is absolutely a deal-breaker.”
