TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee arrives at CID office after summon in connection with ‘signature gate’

Kolkata, June 14, 2026 (ANI): TMC National General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee arrived at CID office after summon over alleged signature forgery. According to officials, Banerjee has been asked to appear before CID in connection with the ‘signature gate’. TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee had been summoned by CID and ED in 3 separate cases. TMC MLAs Kunal Ghosh and Madan Mitra have also been called by CID in same signature forgery case. On Saturday, an FIR had been lodged against Abhishek Banerjee in Siliguri’s Cyber Crime Police Station over hate speech. TMC’s Abhishek has been summoned by CID officers at Bhavani Bhavan in connection with pre-poll hate speech complaint.
