You are a first generation which is entering a world that is desperately trying to reinvent itself. The world order as my generation knew it is in a shape that we don't recognize. What we do know is that the rules-based order which we all grew up to take for granted is no longer sacrosanct. Will it ever be restored? Time will tell... Do not ever take your blessings of freedom and democracy for granted. I am a post-independence-born. We took a lot of things for granted. Our generation took for granted that the world was based on laws and rules and we looked with pity and scorn upon some of the less fortunate nations. Little did we realise how fragile the virtues of freedom and democracy are... You are entering a world where a huge responsibility will then lie on your shoulders to rebuild this new world order. In this you have a great advantage because today's world order will have technology at its core."
