Spike in COVID-19 cases witnessed in Srinagar after lifting lockdown: DM

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), July 12 (ANI): Srinagar has been reported spike in COVID-19 positive cases and deaths after lifting the lockdown, informed the District Magistrate, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary. In the wake of increasing positive cases, Srinagar administration has increased fine for not wearing a mask from Rs 500 to Rs 1000. “Since the lifting of lockdown, there has been a spike in COVID-19 positive cases and deaths here. Today, there are 1,611 positive cases including 1100 active cases. We've increased fine for not wearing a mask to Rs 1000 from Rs 500,” said Shahid Choudhary in a press conference at Srinagar.
