Moscow (Russia), March 23 (ANI) The Turandot has returned to the historic stage of the Bolshoi Theatre after a decade, receiving a standing ovation from audiences. Directed by Alexei Frandetti, the production revisits Puccini’s timeless composition ahead of its 100th anniversary in 2026. The three-act opera features dynamic сценography centred around a Chinese wall, with seamless transitions managed by stage expert Katerina Sokolova. Soloist Dinara Alieva marked a significant milestone, debuting in the title role. Conductor Valery Gergiev described the opera as a masterpiece being restored to the theatre’s repertoire.
