Mumbai, April 8, 2026 (ANI): The RBI Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), led by Governor Sanjay Malhotra, has kept the Repo Rate unchanged at 5.25% with a neutral stance. The central bank highlighted concerns over global trade disruptions, the ongoing West Asia conflict, and their impact on India’s economic growth, merchandise exports, and inflation. RBI projects GDP growth at 6.9% for FY 26-27 and CPI inflation at 4.6%, while noting the volatility in domestic and global markets.
