Rainfall lashes Delhi, brigs respite from scorching heat

New Delhi, June 21 (ANI): On the morning of June 27, parts of the national capital experienced a sudden spell of rain, as forecasted by the India Meteorological Department. Areas such as RK Puram, Sarita Vihar and Munirka saw light rainfall accompanied by gusty winds. This downpour provided much-needed relief from the scorching heatwave. According to Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded in the "moderate" category with a reading of 164 at 8 am. According to IMD, the maximum and minimum temperature in the national capital is expected to hover between 39 to 32 degrees Celsius respectively.
