People are finding it as the last source of respite amid the sizzling heat that has left almost everything parched. This creative Indian method to fight the heat has been in use for ages. The sale of ‘Matka’ in Amritsar has also risen tremendously as people seek respite from the heat. It is a rare time in the year where the potter and the seller of Matka get good returns from their work. People believe that these Matkas are a part of the Indian heritage and it is a better option than refrigerator, which is a modern discovery. The use of Matka is beneficial for the environment and it showcases the uniqueness of Indian culture.
