Op Samudra Setu: 700 stranded Indians ready to return via INS Jalashwa from Colombo

Colombo (Sri Lanka), June 01 (ANI): 700 stranded Indians are finally returning their home country via INS Jalashwa. They reached Colombo Port to board INS Jalashwa. The precautionary measures were taken at the port in view of coronavirus pandemic. One of the Indian nationals said, “I came here to experience Sri Lankan culture and I am stranded here for 3 months. I faced the difficulty of staying here, else everything was alright. I am relieved now as I would be able to go back to my hometown.” Earlier, INS Jalashwa had repatriated 1286 citizens from Maldives’s Male. It is INS Jalashwa’s 3rd voyage under Operation Samudra Setu.
