Op Kaveri: India’s only C-17 woman pilot Flt Lt Har Raj Kaur brings back Indians from Sudan

With India’s ‘Operation Kaveri,’ in full swing, IAF has mobilised its largest aircraft for the rescue mission. IAF deployed its ‘mammoth’ C-17 aircraft to evacuate stranded Indians from the conflict-hit Sudan. IAF’s first and only C-17 pilot Flt Lt Har Raj Kaur Boparai has joined the rescue operation. India has deployed C-130J Super Hercules, C-17 Globemaster aircraft and INS Sumedha and INS Teg., INS Tarkash for the rescue mission. Over 1000 stranded Indians have been evacuated from conflict zone Sudan through various mediums so far. India launched ‘Operations Kaveri’ On April 24 to rescue Indians from conflict zones in Sudan. Sudan has been witnessing deadly clash between the country's army and a paramilitary group.
