Odisha Train accident: PM Modi lauds rescue teams working tirelessly at accident site in Balasore

Balasore (Odisha), June 04 (ANI): In a major jolt, at least 288 died and more than 1,000 got injured in a tragic Balasore Train accident. The incident took place after three trains collided one after another in a horrific sequence. Teams of NDRF, ODRAF, and other authorities are carrying out rescue operations. PM Modi visited the accident site in Balasore, interacted with the officials and took stock of situation. He lauded the efforts of rescue forces carrying out safety operations and working tirelessly to bring normalcy. Soon after the incident took place, people queued up in huge numbers to donate blood. Reacting to it, PM Modi hailed people’s efforts who immersed themselves in assisting rescue operation. Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Coromandel Express and a goods train were involved in the triple-train accident. The restoration works at the accident site are underway and overturned bogies are being removed.
