Over the past two years, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha has accelerated its sporting journey with a clear vision —world-class infrastructure, grassroots talent development, and opportunities for every aspiring athlete. At the heart of this transformation is the Chief Minister's Trophy – "From Playground to Podium." More than a tournament, it has become Odisha's largest grassroots sports movement, bringing together over 32,000 athletes, 500+ teams, and over 3,400 matches, turning local playgrounds into launchpads for future champions.The state is also investing nearly 4,124 crore rupees to build modern stadiums across all 314 blocks, while Khelo India Centres in all 30 districts are helping thousands of young athletes train, compete, and dream bigger than ever before.Odisha's growing sports ecosystem is now drawing global attention.
