New Delhi, July 03, 2026 (ANI) Toyota Kirloskar Motor Country Head and Executive Vice President (Corporate Affairs and Governance) Vikram Gulati said misconceptions surrounding E20 ethanol-blended fuel are largely unfounded. He stated that E20 fuel does not cause significant damage to vehicles and is compatible with both old and new vehicles. Citing an Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) study, Gulati said fuel efficiency loss with E20 is limited to around 2–4 per cent. He also highlighted the broader benefits of India's ethanol blending programme, noting that it has helped save ₹1.9 trillion, provided substantial support to farmers, strengthened energy security and contributed to environmental goals
