Kashmiris release first local film ‘Welcome to Kashmir’ in Srinagar

Srinagar (J&K), May 26 (ANI): First Kashmiri film titled ‘Welcome to Kashmir’ released in INOX theatre in Srinagar on May 26. It is the first Bollywood movie made by locals based on the lives of Kashmiris. The film will be released later in India and on International platforms. This film mirrors issues faced by the people of Kashmir and illustrated realistic image of Kashmiris and the J&K Police force. The first show of the film was all packed, depicting a craze for this Kashmiri film. This film was primarily shot at beautiful locations in and around Kashmir like Sopore, Watlab, Wular, and more. The film is also a milestone for the Kashmiri Kashmiri singers, music composers, and other local artists in the Indian film industry.
