Inspiring! Muskan brings laurel to J&K, wins ‘HerRising Awards’

Ganderbal (J&K), Dec 09 (ANI): Mir Muskan Un Nisa, a resident of Arampora Village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district is among the winners of this year’s ‘HerRising Awards’. She was selected in the category of ‘women starters’. Muskan is very much keen to continue her research in the medicinal plants. She is a research scholar at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir. Muskan has been interested in forestry since her childhood. Speaking to ANI, Mir Muskan Un Nisa said, “I am the first girl from J&K who has won HerRising Awards. Many other girls will get inspiration from this so that they can also win an award like this.” “This is HerRising Award 2020 in which they see that what women have achieved in all over India. They also see vision and level of persistence and on that basis my application got selected,” she added. 'HerRising Award' evaluates a woman's achievement and her forward-thinking. It seeks to recognise women who are rising at their organisations as a result of their commitment. Speaking to ANI, Muskan’s brother, Zeeshan Ahmad said, “Muskan is my younger sister and more members in our family are girls. Not only Muskan but every sister of mine has achieved whatever she has wished for.” “We are very proud that Muskan has achieved whatever she wanted in her life. Our family and parents have always supported them. We are immensely proud of her,” he added.
