Indian forces all set to stop Amritpal Singh’s escape to Pakistan, MHA issues alert to BSF, SSB

On March 21, crackdown against pro-Khalistani outfit ‘Waris Punjab De’ and its chief Amripal Singh entered day 4. The Centre has alerted BSF and Sashastra Seema Bal to be alert on the international borders amid manhunt to nab Amritpal. International borders with Nepal, Pakistan have been put on alert considering possibility of Amritpal Singh’s escape. MHA has asked the chiefs of both BSF, SSB to direct forces deputed on borders to be on high alert According to a source, Amritpal Singh’s pictures have also been circulated at key exit points. Two paramilitary forces had sent required inputs to their field units with photographs of Amritpal. The separatist self-styled preacher Amritpal Singh is still on a run but many of his aides have been arrested. Union Minister RK Singh has categorically said that Amritpal Singh was controlled by Pakistan’s ISI.
