India hits another milestone as DRDO launched Agni-Prime from Rail based Mobile launcher

Balasor (Odisha), September 25, 2025 (ANI): Another milestone achieved by India as the armed forces embark on the journey of self-reliance. India carried out successful launch of Agni-Prime Missile from a Rail based Mobile launcher system. The first-of-its-kind launch carried out today from specially designed Rail based Mobile Launcher. Capability to move on Rail network without any pre-conditions allows user to have cross country mobility. This unique technology empowers the user to launch within a short reaction time with reduced visibility. This put India in group of select nations with capabilities of canisterised-launch system from on the move rail network. This next generation missile, equipped with various advanced features, is designed to cover a range up to 2000 km. Missile trajectory tracked by various ground stations confirmed all mission objectives to be met. This successful launch will enable futuristic rail based systems induction into services enabling further innovations. The launch was witnessed by senior scientists of DRDO and Officers of Strategic Forces Command. The Road Mobile Agni-P has already been inducted into the services after a series of successful flight trials. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, SFC and Armed Forces on successful test of Intermediate Range Agni-P missile.
