Feb 22, 2026: (ANI): India and Brazil have signed a significant MoU to strengthen cooperation in critical minerals and rare earths, marking a major step in New Delhi’s efforts to secure strategic resources and reduce dependence on China. Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the agreement as a “major step towards building resilient supply chains” and a reflection of mutual trust and strategic alignment between the two nations. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said renewable energy and critical minerals are at the core of the pioneering pact, adding that Brazil values India’s partnership. He also noted that only about 30% of Brazil’s vast mineral reserves have been explored.
