From ICU to Emergency Care | Tripura’s Big Healthcare Transformation

Agartala, Tripura, April 8, 2026, ANI – Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, the healthcare sector in Tripura is rapidly advancing. With the inauguration of state-of-the-art ICU, blood bank, and new medical facilities at AGMC & GBP Hospital, patients are now receiving better and faster treatment. The Chief Minister stated that advanced services like kidney transplants are now available in the state, 9 super-specialty services have already been launched, and work is underway on 45 more services. To strengthen emergency response, 24 new ambulances equipped with BLS and ALS facilities and connected to the 102 helpline have also been introduced. This initiative is steering Tripura toward a strong and modern healthcare system.
