Gujarat CM’s gesture wins hearts, visually-impaired student highlights Divyang-friendly changes

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s compassion shone through at the Urban Innovation and Infrastructure Summit in Vadodara as he was welcomed by Divyang children of Urmi School. Among them was Gauri Shardul, a Class 10 visually-impaired student, who was given the mic by the CM to share her thoughts. Gauri expressed it was very encouraging for her and she highlighted the government’s efforts to make public spaces more Divyang-friendly and other amenities that are being provided by the government that are making life easier for the Divyang. School officials said the opportunity was a confidence booster for the students, praising the Chief Minister’s humility in encouraging them to speak up. The heartfelt exchange left an impact on all present, highlighting the importance of inclusion and accessibility. With students like Gauri determined to dream big, and leaders like CM Bhupendra Patel extending support, Gujarat’s journey towards a more inclusive future stands strengthened.
