Chhota Udepur (Gujarat), October 25 (ANI): In Gujarat’s Chhota Udepur district, life is changing with biogas. Dipikaben Rathwa from Nani Bumdi village collects cow dung, mixes it with water, and feeds it into her biogas plant. The leftover slurry becomes organic manure for her fields. Under the Gobardhan Scheme, she received a ₹42,000 biogas unit — with ₹37,000 as subsidy and ₹5,000 as her family’s share. Earlier dependent on firewood and costly LPG, her family now enjoys a cleaner, cheaper fuel. Now, the family cooks daily meals using smokeless, eco-friendly gas. The bio-slurry serves as natural fertilizer, reducing chemical use and saving money.
