Ganesh Chaturthi: Raipur artist makes eco-friendly ‘Bappa’ using food grains, herbs

Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Aug 21 (ANI): A day ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, an artist in Raipur has made eco-friendly Ganesha idols. Artist has been making Ganesh idols without any use of harmful colours or chemicals. This year, he is using herbs and food grains to make Ganesh idols. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, idol makers are bearing hardship in Chhattisgarh. An idol maker said, "We usually use paper, husk, grains, and shells. This year we have made idols with herbs in view of COVID. Earlier, I used to sell 40 idols, this year I have made only 25 as demand is low." Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated across India on August 22.
