Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh), Aug 9 (ANI) Deputy Speaker of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Dolma Tsering Teykhang says, “As a part of a global initiative, Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile has written an open letter to all the heads of state, Parliament leaders and members, United Nations organs, European Parliament organs, human rights organisations, religious leaders and interfaith leaders. The main content of the letter is about the so-called law being passed by the People's Republic of China, the Ethnic Unity and Progress Law. The reason why we wrote about the urgency to take notice of this is that this is a law which is sugar-coated. It says unity, but the unity means injustice to all the people who live under communist leadership, like Tibetans, Tukur, Sutton, Mongols, and all non-Han people who live under Tibetans… As part of this law, the serious concern is that it not only impacts the nationals who live under communist leadership, but the law also has an impact on all the people who live beyond the People's Republic of China… The journalists who cover human rights violations, the writers who right on justice for the minorities and anyone who cares about the survival of cultural diversity, they will be impacted. The most serious concern is that in the 54th article of this law, the children are also targeted to show their loyalty to the communist leadership and to the party, and they are even using the minors to spy on their parents, to inform them about how their parents undermine the Ethnic Unity and Progress Law… When the well-being of the family and the trust of the family members are distorted, then the whole humanity gets disturbed. So therefore, we are urging all the responsible leadership and citizens of this world to stand up for justice so that it doesn't come to your doorstep… Let us all come together to fight for atrocities, to fight for injustice that wears the mask of unity and progress around the world…”
