Exercise interventions help asthma patients: Study

New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): According to a new study by the University of East Anglia, interventions aimed at promoting physical activity in people with asthma could improve their symptoms and quality of life. The study has been published in the ‘Journal of Health Psychology’. The team said that the digital interventions such as video appointments, smartwatches, and mobile apps, could remove some of the barriers and enable the patients to carry out some home-based programs in the future. The study was funded by the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research. Promoting physical activity in people with asthma could improve their symptoms, quality of life. Interventions such as aerobic, resistance training have helped asthma patients. Being physically active is widely recommended for people with asthma. Doing more than 150 minutes a week of moderate physical activity has extensive benefits. People living with asthma engage in less physical activity, more sedentary than people without asthma.
