Dhanwantari Rath launched to bring ayurveda at doorsteps of Delhi Police personnel

New Delhi, August 19 (ANI): Delhi Police and All India Institute of Ayurveda signed a Memorandum of Understanding for extending the Ayurveda Preventive health services in the residential colonies of Delhi Police. These services are to be provided through a mobile unit named 'Dhanwantari Rath' and Police Wellness Centres. In view of this, Commissioner of Delhi Police SN Shrivastava flagged off 'Dhanwantari Rath' to provide essential health services for the police personnel and their families. This is a continuation of the "Ayuraksha". Ayuraksha is a joint venture of All India Institute of Ayurveda and Delhi Police. It objective is to maintaining the health of Delhi Police personnel through Ayurveda immunity boosting measures. On this occasion, Commissioner Shrivastava also facilitated counsellors who helped Delhi Police personnel to recover from diseases. After distributing AYURAKSHA kits to nearly 80,000 police personnel for over a period of 2 months, the incidence and mortality of COVID-19 was significantly brought down in Delhi Police personnel. The services are now being extended to families of Delhi Police personnel as well.
