Delhi Policeman narrates scenes of Jantar Mantar protest amid clash following heavy stone pelting

New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): Additional Commissioner of Police (Punjabi Bagh) Jai Parkash, who sustained a forehead injury while on duty during the protest near Jantar Mantar, said that protesters attempted to move towards Parliament Street despite repeated appeals by police to remain at the designated protest site. He stated that police formed a human chain and erected barricades to stop them, following which some miscreants allegedly began throwing plastic water bottles and stones. A stone struck him on the forehead, and he is currently undergoing treatment at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, where doctors have diagnosed a minor fracture. Further medical examinations are underway.
