Delhi Police arrest builders for duping investors

New Delhi, 09 December (ANI): Economic offence wing (EOW) of Delhi Police arrested directors of a company named "Ganga Associates" for cheating people by alluring them for investment in their upcoming project "Ganga City Colony" at Gubhana Kheri village in Bahadurgarh, Haryana.Accused collected money from the victims for the plot in the project without having any land. They also did not have any license to develop the said project.It is alleged that the accused persons claimed that all the necessary approvals from Govt. authorities have already been taken. Believing the inducement of accused persons, 24 victims paid approximately Rs. 50 lakh to the accused. Subsequently, it was revealed that the accused lacked any approvals for development of the project.The investigation further revealed that they did not have any land for the project at Gubhana Kheri except agreement to sell the project land with farmer in favour of the accused. They also had no permission from the District Town Planner to develop the project. They had concealed the actual facts of the land which was registered for agricultural purposes.
