“Come to India, invest more, create jobs…” Norway’s Astrid Bergmål Hails India-EFTA Trade ties

New Delhi, Oct 08, 2026 (ANI): While speaking on the India-EFTA Business Leaders Prosperity Summit, Astrid Bergmål, State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, said that 160 firms already in India, more investments coming. “After a year, we are very positive. We see an increased interest in India and also knowledge about India from the Norwegian side. We have about 160 companies in India already, and we are working very hard to encourage more Norwegian companies to come to India, invest more, and create jobs. Both in Norway and at the embassy, this is a priority for us. The TEPA (India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement) will create huge opportunities for both Norwegian and Indian businesses in the years to come....”
