Chinar YUVA Centre in Kupwara emerging as hub of youth empowerment and innovation

Kupwara (J&K), Sept 10, 2025 (ANI): The Youth Upliftment and Vocational Association (YUVA) Centre in North Kashmir’s Kupwara has become a symbol of hope, opportunity and transformation. This evolution has been made possible through leadership of local unit of Indian Army and support of ASEEM Foundation (Pune) and Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd. It was one of the first vocational training centers, creating a new path for employment and entrepreneurship in this remote area. This centre trained thousands of young people in skills such as tailoring, stitching, and embroidery. Now, around 68 young women are getting training in tailoring and knitting from trainers and around 500 women already got training so far. Chinar YUVA Centre is a shining example of how youth and women of how youth and women can be empowered through skill-building, entrepreneurship, and cooperation.
