The death toll from the twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 has climbed to 4,333, with 16,740 people injured, according to the latest official figures released by National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez. Authorities said 6,462 people have been rescued, while nearly 17,000 have been left homeless as relief and recovery efforts continue. The Venezuelan government estimates that around 25,000 homes will be needed to rehabilitate those displaced by the disaster. Officials have already identified approximately 584,000 square meters of land in Osma and Chuspa for new housing projects, with reconstruction efforts expected to begin soon.
