ASP chief Chandrashekhar Azad clashes with Narendra Nagar Police while heading to Devalgaon in Tehri

Tehri Garhwal (Uttarakhand), July 1, 2026 (ANI): Kotwali Narendra Nagar in-charge Inspector Devaraj Sharma told ANI that Azad Samaj Party chief and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad reached Narendra Nagar on Monday while heading to Devalgaon in Tehri district to meet the family of Ketan, a Dalit youth who was killed a few days earlier. His convoy was initially stopped by Narendra Nagar Police, during which Azad accused the police of misconduct and warned that he would raise the issue before the Privileges Committee. After lengthy discussions, the police allowed four vehicles from his convoy, including one security vehicle, to proceed to Devalgaon to meet the bereaved family.
