Asian Games: Anurag Thakur, Archery Association of India VP laud India on reaching 100-medal mark

October 7 (ANI): Union Minister for Sports Anurag Thakur and Archery Association of India’s Vice President Kailash Murarka while speaking to ANI on October 7 lauded India on reaching the 100-medal mark in the Asian Games 2023. Anurag Thakur said, “I congratulate our athletes on behalf of 140 crore citizens of India. They have motivated the athletes of future generations. The 100th medal was won by India’s Kabaddi team. It is worth noting that in the history of 72 years of Asian Games, this time our athletes broke many records and made many records as well.” Kailash Murarka said, “This is a matter of happiness... Indian archers have created history...These performances will improve further... I would like to congratulate all the Indians, archers, their families, and the sports department... I have the belief that our archers will perform in the same manner in the Olympics.”
