AIIMS to increase isolation ward’s capacity if required for coronavirus: Director

New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, AIIMS Delhi Director, Dr Randeep Guleria on coronavirus outbreak said that the hospital has the capacity to increase isolation facilities and we can able to provide more and more facilities if required. He furthers said, “AIIMS has an isolation ward. All precautionary measures are also in place for healthcare workers such as masks and hand sanitizers so that infection does not spread.” In December, public health officials from China informed the World Health Organization (WHO) that they had a problem. An unknown new virus was causing pneumonia-like illness in the city of Wuhan. They quickly determined that it was coronavirus which was rapidly spreading through and outside of Wuhan. The majority of the illnesses are in Wuhan, but cases have been reported in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Macau, Hong Kong, and the US.
