Ahmedabad: NDRF team resumes search & rescue ops at Air India plane crash site to find survivors

DESCRIPTION: Ahmedabad (Gujarat), June 13, 2025 (ANI): National Disaster Response Force personnel with a sniffer dog returned to the AI-171 plane crash site, to look for any remaining survivors in the incident. The air India Airlines confirmed that there were 241 confirmed fatalities, hours later the horrific plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12. The 12-year-old Boeing 787-8 aircraft departed from Ahmedabad at 1338 hrs met with a tragic crash claiming 241 lives. Out of the 242 aboard, 241 were confirmed dead with the sole survivor, a British National being treated in a hospital. Further, Air India said that it has also set up dedicated hotlines to assist family members, including international callers. Earlier the Tata Group had announced compensation of Rs. 1 crore each for the families of those who passed away in the crash.
