Agro processing policy will strengthen rural economy: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) September 10 (ANI): Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot said that Rajasthan Agro Processing, Agribusiness and Agri-export Promotion Policy - 2019 will prove to be a milestone in the coming days to increase the income of farmers and strengthen the rural economy.CM Gehlot said this while having a dialogue based on the theme ‘Udyog Lagao, Aaye Badhao’ with more than 400 farmers through video conferencing. Chief Minister interacted with farmers and entrepreneurs who were availing the grant under the new policy and took feedback from them about the new policy. He called upon the farmers to take full advantage of the grants received from the state government in setting up food processing units, increase their own income by getting a fair price for their produce and also strengthen the economy. He said that with the agro processing policy, the farmer will get the facility of enterprise on his land in the village itself and the youth will also get employment opportunities.During the programme, CM Gehlot also released posters and brochures prepared for wide promotion of the policy and said that the benefits of policies and schemes made in public interest should reach the rightful entitlement.
