‘6,000 people travelled to Bihar from Haryana ahead of Elections’ claims Kapil Sibal, targets BJP

Nov 10, 2025

New Delhi, November 10, 2025 (ANI): Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal, addressing a press conference, raised concerns regarding the Election Commission's actions, questioning whether it is functioning impartially or acting in support of the BJP, as alleged by some. He highlighted that on November 3, four trains transported approximately 6,000 people from Haryana to Bihar. The first two trains traveled from Karnal via Panipat to Barauni, while the next two ran from Gurugram via Patna to Bhagalpur. Sibal questioned the purpose of these journeys, suggesting that the passengers were either genuine voters from Bihar or part of a coordinated operation. He addressed the issue to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, asking whether these trains were run as special services and, if so, why they were operated from Haryana at this time rather than during Chhath, noting that genuine voters would not require special train services.
